Purpose driven life. Part 2

LOL..writing Purpose Driving life part 2 made me remember these ghanain movies where there is part 1 till 10
Anyways, this is just the continuation from previous post. Frankly, I wasn't able to do the one hour meditation about my life because I think it's just not for me but God has been telling me in more subtle ways. Does that sound strange? Well, it shouldn't. He speaks and for me it has been through people, dreams or an event that happens. I have never had the experience of a loud voice shouting my name.. Amen for that.
So last Sunday my sis Abe, Carl and I decided to go watch an Ebo Whyte play( Ghanaian Tyler Perry). When we arrived the place was packed full.. the parking was full, the sidewalks and even the streets with were full of cars. Then Carl says 'chale the man is gettun money ohh' and I was just seating at the back seat nodding my head in agreement then he added ' You know when you have a talent and you use it well God blesses you'. Then Abe adds sorry for saying this but ' Chale if shitting sef is your talent and you do it with all your heart you will make money out of it'. After this funny intervention we all laugh and are good spirits.
But, later coming to think of it it's really true I know God sent us each with a purpose so it shouldn't a few who succeed. Have we made a funeral for our dreams? Considering we are in Ghana it must have been pompous in style, full of music and dancing.
This week, God showed me a desire I have..and am not willing to share it publicly (don't be mad guys).
Now, that I know.. another question is HOW? It is really worrying me.. what are the steps I should take? what should I do next?  He is greater than me, I leave it up to him.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Looking, searching and hoping for Mr. Right.

Can't wait to meet him... umm could it be him? Well, maybe not..
Guess you are wondering why am starting with these questions well.. these are questions I ask myself on a daily basis whenever I bump into my potential Mr Right.
I meet Mr.A  he is funny, smart and all that but kinda short. Oh! now am not so sure about it then comes Mr.B taller, than me, has the same passion but he don't make me laugh like Mr A. Finally in comes crashing Mr C tall(check), funny, working towards his dreams etc, but there's something just not right.. Aaarrgh!!
Thats when I realize that God had a reason for not making females the head of the family we are soo indecisive and it is not only with men but shoes, bags, clothes everything! :) This week was talking to my big sister about a guy I met recently and who am becoming close with.
She: So do you like him?
Me: No, umm i mean yes if you mean as a friend
She: You are a very confused girl, I believe you like him before when you hadn't talked to him.
Me: Yeh, maybe( in my head- its kinda true heard about him before I met him and fancied him a LITTLE)
She: You know your problem, you like guys when they don't like you back, remember Anthony... when they
start showing interest you change your mind.
Me: It's true ohh, never thought of it.. and I'm studying psychology too should have noticed it. But, I don't think I like what I can't get.. it's more like the fear that the person would be the wrong one for me and might blind me from seeing my Mr.Right.
So, what do I want.. hmm God you know! I am not asking for too much right? A Ghanaian fine boy :) Someone who loves you, and is searching for a girl like me. A man that has dreams that complement mine, who would  be romantic and bring me flowers from time to time. A spontaneous and witty man who can pick me up frm church and say today we are heading to somewhere special.. a guy that can make me LOL! A person I can share my dreams, hopes and fears, someone who would not break my heart.. the list goes on but finally A man that my Dad would see and say 'I accept him as the one for you and I give you my blessing'.
I am still hoping..(Huge grin on my face)

The Purpose driven life.

I read a book some time ago, that narrated the experience of a woman who had been to heaven. She said God sent each of us on earth for a purpose  it could vary from just helping a single person during our whole lifetime or  impacting a number of people. Also most of the friends or people we see and have an instant liking to were those who we had chosen to be our helpers on earth to achieve that purpose.
So, I have been in a pensive and meditative mood for a week now. It all started when I went to this worship concert with my sister.. it was a memorable one. The atmosphere was electric, I felt transported to a secret place where it was me and God. And, what  was the medium of transport? Music! I am passionate about music.. could my purpose have anything to do with it?? Hmm
The following day met with a good friend of mine, he has amazing talent for writing poetry and motivational words. Most of the time we just joke around, tease each other but on this occassion we found ourselves talking about the people in our lives. He categorized them into three; reason, season and..(ohh I forgot ) . Anyways, I realized that everyone I had come in contact with was for a reason. When that dawned on me I realized I had friends that never heard the good news and were not impacted. Another question  popped into my mind what if these people God placed into my life were there to help me achieve the purpose God has for my life?
Later this week I read one of my favourite blogs and guess what was the post for the day...yeh you guessed right. It was; what is your life purpose? It had an article on Clayton M.Christensen a Professor at Harvard who researched and found out that the world's best students at Harvard Business school had never really thought about their purpose in life. He decided to spend an hour immensing himself meditating, praying and pondering what was his purpose and finally he figured it out. He believes is the most important thing he has ever achieved. Are you willing to take that challenge with me?
Questions to ponder:
1. What is your purpose in life?
2. Are you working towards it?

In love with the Unknown

Am in love
Yes, in love with the unknown
Please do not ask me of whom?
The mere thought of him renders me speechless..
He is indescribable, invisible yet so encompassing that He is here at this vey moment.
When did I fall for him?
That is the wrong question. Because He was mad in love with me even before I existed.
There is no point trying to analyse it, this chemistry supercedes time.
Is his love real?
As real as the shining sun and as deep as the ocean. It is so real I feel his furthery kisses each time my hair sways in the wind and I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I listen to his symphony.
Has his love ever failed me?
No and it  never will. I rest assured because He wrote our love story and ended it with a ' happily eternal after'.
Once, He died for me but rose again because He could not stand to see me all alone.
Also, He created love to express all the feelings He has for me, because saying it and showing it would not be enough.
I am worthy of such a love?
NO, absolutely no. I do not deserve the perfect gentleman, warrior and poet.
When all I've been is a perfect cheat, liar, thief and hypocrite.
Yet, He still loves me with all my flaws and He sticks with in good times and bad times, in poverty and in richness, in sickness and in good health.
What did I do to deserve this?
Nothing, it was a gift with no strings attached..
