There is this resurgence in African identity and am wondering is it due to Obama, the return of Fela, Africans in the diaspora or the modernization and impact of globalization on Africa. It is now common to see words like Afropilitan, Afrocentric, Afro- couture and seeing African prints on major fashion shows.
La vie est en rose! Me thinks is the best time to feel African( I dont mean it was worse before) but mentalities have changed and the youth is embracing our culture with a tinge of westernization.
I have been obssesed with some blogs and I find myself reading more than writing. Silence is golden, right? So am going to share some of the blogs I have been following religiously :) and the common trend is that they are all written by Africans in the diaspora on culture, arts, relationships and a whole lot of things. You will surely leave these blogs with knowledge on a variety of things.
